Following the success of the Grand Tour of Tastes in 2006 and the current Year of Green Tourism, the Hungarian National Tourist Office announced that 2008 will be dedicated to the promotion of Hungarian waters: lakes, rivers and thermal baths.

Health tourism will be focused on in spring and autumn, while in the summer living waters will be given special emphasis. The hotel and spa developments of the past few years will also be highlighted in the promotion, which aims to increase the length of stay, the number of guest nights and the revenues of domestic guests and also to generate demand for upcoming developments financed by regional tenders.
