Cayman Islands - The average temperature hovers around 24ºC (75°F) in winter and 29ºC (85°F) in the summer. If travelling during the holiday season (late Nov through early Jan), be sure to reserve hotels and vehicles a few months in advance. Off-season (April through mid-Nov) lodging rates can drop 20 percent or more and the islands are less crowded.

There are two seasons, "rainy" lasting from mid-May through October, followed by the "dry" season, November through April. Don't let the term "rainy season" deter you from visiting; in general you'll encounter brief afternoon showers followed by sun and higher humidity than in the drier months.

The Cayman Islands' western Caribbean location puts them out of the general hurricane belt , though they are not immune to these storms. Officially, the hurricane season begins June 1 and ends November 30.
