Roskilde Festival

Each year, Roskilde Festival donates any profits from the festival to humanitarian and cultural purposes. Copenhagen Jazz Festival
6.-15. July
Annual jazz festival which boasts both Danish and world renowned artists and bands. The festival takes place both indoors in clubs and venues and not least outdoors where various scenic places such as parks and squares are transformed into jazz venues! This summer a floating stage will be moored at the quayside of the Copenhagen Harbour across the Danhostel City Hostel as well! Every year features a wealth of upcoming and established international and Danish bands and musicians.
Copenhagen Jazz Festival is a participant in the JazzAround Denmark co-operation.

Cultural Harbour
3.-5. August
The Cultural Harbour has become a yearly recurrent harbour festival. Cultural and leisure time activities are made available throughout the harbour for the citizens of Copenhagen, tourists and others who wish to participate in or get acquainted with the cultural life of Copenhagen The Cultural Harbour means four days of dance, music, theatre, artistry and a variety of sports events, in the harbour as well as on the quay - all activities are at your disposal for free!

The Malmö Festival
17-24. August
Few festivals are as popular and well attended as the Malmö Festival, with more than 1, 5 million visitors over eight great days. Every year the festival starts with the popular and mad crayfish party at Stortorget – quite an experience! Over the next days more than 250 live music performances and concerts will take place, along with several cultural events, a food festival, an amusement park, handicrafts and much much more. All events are free of charge.

Copenhagen Cooking
24. Aug. – 2.September
Cooking, the biggest food festival in Scandinavia, is a tribute to the Nordic kitchen and food traditions with special emphasis on the excellent local products. The festival was launched in 2005 and was a tremendous success. This success was repeated in 2006, and expectations are 2007 will top both previous years. Golden Days in Copenhagen

This year the festival will focus on the 200 year day of the English bombardment of Copenhagen in 1807. The commemoration of the days will offer a wide range of activities, city walks, talks and much more. All linked together in an evening event, based on events around the Frue Plads area - the historical center of the bombardment of Copenhagen in 1807.
