Burma Cyclone Death Toll

The death toll from Burma's devastating cyclone has now risen to more than 22,000, state media have said.

Some 41,000 people were also missing, three days after Cyclone Nargis hit the country, according to state radio.

The report came as aid agencies begin what they expect to be a big operation to help hundreds of thousands said to be without clean water and shelter.

So now we are told by the scientiest the long term sea level will fall - see http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/7282142.stm - based on geological processes that are deepening the ocean's basins. Its going to fall about 120 metres over the next 80 years or so according to Dr Dietmar Muller of the University of Sydney, Australia.

Auroras (Polar Lights; or aurorae, sing.: aurora) are natural different colored light displays, which are usually observed in the night sky, particularly in the polar zone. Some scientists therefore call them "polar auroras" (or "aurorae polaris").
